Our client is a market-leading manufacturer of a Class III cardiac implant, operating out of a fast-growing Austin, Texas facility. Currently at approximately 1,500 employees, the business is tripling headcount over the next three years on the back of strong, organic growth. The Role

This is a hands-on, floor-based Process Engineer III role with a heavy controls focus. The successful candidate will own PLC-controlled manufacturing processes day to day, drive continuous improvement, lead equipment validations, and play a central role in new product and process implementations within a fully regulated environment. Documentation systems and regulatory alignment are fully trainable; what the business needs is genuine controls and process engineering depth. 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing processes on the production floor
  • Write and modify ladder logic and structured text programs as processes evolve
  • Work with industry-standard PLC platforms and HMI interfaces
  • Lead IQ/OQ/PQ equipment validations for ew equipment and processes.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and processes through hands-on root cause analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce errors and improve yield and cycle times
  • Partner with quality on CAPA investigations and audit deliverables
  • Coordinate Engineering Change Notices for process, material, and equipment changes
  • Support new product launches with process engineering and controls input 

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering with 4 to 6 years of experience, or Master's with 2 to 4 years
  • PLC programming experience with ladder logic as a baseline, structured text a strong plus
  • Experience creating and maintaining control logic, function blocks, and HMI interfaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills including SPC, root causes analysis, and CAPA
  • Lean manufacturing and process optimisation experience
  • Regulated manufacturing environment experience preferred but not essential
