Overview

A well-established food manufacturing facility is seeking two highly experienced Automation & Controls Engineers to support ongoing plant modernization and the expansion of advanced automated production systems. These positions require strong electrical and controls expertise with hands-on experience supporting PLC-driven, robotic, and automated manufacturing environments. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused professional who enjoys working on the intersection of controls, electrical systems, robotics, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume food production environment. 

Requirements 

  • 5+ years' of experience in industrial automation, controls, or electrical maintenance within manufacturing
  • Strong electrical background with hands-on PLC troubleshooting, programming, and system support
  • Experience supporting automated production lines, robotics, and electrically driven equipment
  • Proven employment stability in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or similarly regulated production settings preferred
  • Ability to support production teams in a fast-paced, high-volume operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, program, and support PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial networks
  • Provide hands-on support for robotics and automated production equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls-related downtime on production and packaging lines
  • Lead automation and controls troubleshooting during critical production events
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to improve system reliability and uptime
  • Support installation, commissioning, and optimization of new automated equipment
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, controls, and process efficiency
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and regulatory standards

  • Extensive use of PLC-controlled automation and robotics

  • Minimal reliance on legacy mechanical-only equipment

Shifts 

  • 2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 10:30pm (+$1/hr differential)
  • 3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 6:30pm (+$2/hr differential)
