ACE Partners is supporting one of its Aviation partners with a Liaison Engineer opportunity. The Liaison Engineer is a key member of the engineering team who supports production operations, design engineering, and customer programs.

This individual will act as the primary engineering point of contact on the production floor, resolving technical issues, supporting light design updates, and interfacing directly with customers and third-party representatives to ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and continued airworthiness compliance.

This is a full-time direct role operating fully onsite at the client’s facility in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary engineering representative supporting the production line, addressing non-conformances, dispositions, and build issues in real time
  • Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure conformity to design intent and regulatory requirements
  • Perform light design work including drawing updates, minor redesigns, and incorporation of engineering changes (ECOs/ECNs)
  • Review, analyze, and disposition MRB items including use-as-is, repair, or rework solutions
  • Interface directly with customers and third-party representatives to resolve technical discrepancies and provide engineering clarification
  • Collaborate with stress, design, and manufacturing engineering teams to assess impact of deviations and proposed repairs
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions for recurring production issues
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures when implementing engineering dispositions
  • Maintain clear documentation of all technical decisions, deviations, and corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve build efficiency, quality, and turnaround time

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related engineering discipline) or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, production support, or design engineering
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical manuals
  • Working knowledge of aircraft structures and/or mechanical systems
  • Familiarity with FAA regulatory environment (Part 27 or Part 29 experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal, composites, and assembly
  • Experience with MRB processes, non-conformance disposition, or production troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting FAA certification programs or field service engineering
  • Familiarity with change management systems (ECO/ECN processes)
  • Experience working directly with customers or third-party modification centers
  • CAD experience (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar)
