Position Summary

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to provide shift-level supervision and coordination of maintenance activities. This role ensures maintenance tasks are planned, executed, and documented efficiently, supporting operational needs. The Maintenance Supervisor will also actively assist maintenance technicians as needed, provide coaching, and serve as the primary point of contact for shift maintenance issues. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities on shift, based on daily priorities.
  • Ensure maintenance staff have clear work orders and assignments.
  • Serve as the point of contact for significant maintenance issues, determining resolutions and escalating to higher-level leadership when necessary.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support for maintenance challenges across the site.
  • Communicate with operations staff regarding job status, breakdowns, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all work orders are accurately completed in the CMMS system and provide feedback for rescheduling if required.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency.
  • Contribute to maintenance planning for equipment rebuilds and capital expenditures.
  • Perform area audits, productivity reviews, and performance evaluations for assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure workflow efficiency, contribute to SOP and work instruction development, and audit adherence to procedures.

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred
  • 7-10 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in a supervisory or leadershop role preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and software (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
