Part 145 Helicopter Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Helicopter Mechanic to support operations within an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment. This individual will perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of rotorcraft systems while ensuring full compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on helicopter maintenance experience and may have prior Lead or supervisory exposure within a helicopter maintenance facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul, and inspection of helicopter airframe and powerplant systems
  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and approved technical data
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and systems discrepancies and provide timely corrective action
  • Support heavy maintenance events, modifications, and component replacements
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately in accordance with Part 145 requirements
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Support FAA audits and regulatory inspections as required
  • Provide technical guidance to junior mechanics and technicians when necessary
  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve maintenance issues

Required Qualifications 

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
  • Proven helicopter maintenance experience within a Part 145 Repair Station or equivalent maintenance facility
  • Strong working knowledge of rotorcraft systems, structures, and powerplants
  • Ability to read and interpret AMM, IPC, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Experience performing inspections, troubleshooting, and heavy maintenance
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulations and maintenance documentation requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on Bell, Robinson, Airbus Helicopters, Sikorsky, or Leonardo platforms
  • Prior Lead Mechanic, Crew Chief, or Maintenance Supervisor experience
  • Experience supporting FAA audits and quality inspections
  • Familiarity with overhaul and modification programs

Work Environment

  • Hangar-based helicopter maintenance facility
  • Hands-on role requiring physical activity, tooling use, and aircraft access
  • Onsite position
