Overview

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead all aspects of manufacturing operations at a high-volume production facility. This individual will have full ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, while building a strong leadership team and driving a culture of LEAN, Continuous Improvement, and accountability.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands how to balance people, process, and performance, and is capable of developing managers who can grow into future site leaders. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead all plant operations with full accountability for Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost
  • Serve as the site leader for safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance (including SQF)
  • Drive LEAN manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the site
  • Own and manage the plant operating budget and P&L
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
  • Partner cross functionally with Quality, EHS, HR, and Operations leadership
  • Establish, maintain, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Use data and KPIs to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve performance
  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership team
  • Plan labor and production schedules to meet customer demand
  • Develop and execute contingency plans to support uninterrupted operations
  • Foster strong internal and external customer relationships
  • Champion company values and a high-performance work culture

Leadership Scope

  • Direct oversight of Production Managers and production teams
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and performance management
  • Create succession plans and develop future leaders within the organizsation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading large manufacturing teams
  • Strong background in LEAN/Continuous Improvement
  • Experience managing budgets and financial performance
  • Solid understanding of food safety and quality systems (SQF or similar preferred)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or overtime

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 

OR

  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience
