How do you handle recruiting whilst being based in the UK for US clients?

Although we're based in the UK, all our recruitment activity is aligned with US time zones. We use a combination of virtual tools, local knowledge, and strong networks to ensure candidates and clients get a seamless experience.

In addition, we also have a US entity incorporated in Delaware, which we can operate through if clients prefer to collaborate via a US-based company. This option is available purely for convenience, there is no difference in the quality, process, or experience our clients receive.

Do you work on a contingent or retained basis, and what does that mean for clients?

We work on both contingent or retained models depending on our clients needs:

Contingent: You only pay if you hire a candidate we present. This is the best option for standard roles.

Retained: A portion of the fee is paid upfront, guaranteeing dedicated focus on finding your ideal candidate. This is best for senior or hard-to-fill roles, as well as high volume needs.

Why do you use a W-8 instead of a W-9?

A W-9 is for US taxpayers, but since ACE Partners operates from outside the US, we use a W-8 to comply with US tax regulations. This form simply confirms our foreign status for tax purposes - it does not affect the client in any way. Clients still pay the same fees and receive the same level of service; the W-8 is purely an administrative requirement for proper reporting and compliance.

How do you handle confidentiality?

Confidentiality is a priority at ACE Partners. We never share personal or sensitive information without consent, and can manage discreet searches for sensitive roles or leadership hires.

Can I still send my resume if you don't have a live job for me?

Yes! We maintain a candidate database and regularly review it when new roles become available. Even if there isn't a current match, we'll reach out when a suitable opportunity arises.

Will you help me negotiate my salary or benefits?

Yes. We will provide guidance and support throughout the negotiation process to ensure your package reflects your skills, experience, and market value.
